How Our Dedicated Staff and Volunteers Bring RFA to Life
RFA board members and staff moved boxes, supplies, equipment, and more from Lancaster Elementary School to the stunning new venue, the Lancaster High School Auditorium and Performing Arts Center in Irvington. Welcome to the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts, where passion meets purpose on and offstage. As a cornerstone of our community's cultural landscape, we bring world-class artistic experiences directly to your doorstep while nurturing the next generation of creative minds. A lean, dedicated team drives this mission: two part-time staff—an administrator and a grants and booking manager—work hand in hand with a deeply committed, hands-on volunteer board of directors. Together, through collaboration, inspiration, and an unwavering commitment to accessibility, we strive to enrich lives and unite people through the universal language of the arts. Guided by a forward-looking commitment to our community, we proudly share our foundation's guiding principles:
Tagline: Soaring Performances. Enduring Advocacy.
Mission Statement: Enhancing communities through performing arts.
Vision Statement: To amplify RFA’s influence as a beacon for accessible artistic experiences, celebrate artistic talent and promote lifelong learning through the performing arts.
